“I find myself completely engrossed in a breathtaking display of vibrant hues, mesmerizing shapes, and intricate designs,” she explains. “At times, these natural marvels effortlessly come into being, like the intricate strands of a spider’s web or the vibrant pigments embellishing a leaf. On other occasions, I am in awe of tangible objects I can hold in my hands, such as a smooth stone or a fossil, knowing that they have taken countless millennia to be created.”
She expresses her gratitude for these wonderful blends and upholds their legacy by introducing her own unique creations. “There is a special bond between us and the untamed environment, invisible yet deep. I aim to embody this harmony in my artistic expressions.”
The final chapters of the tales of the objects come to life thanks to the feminine nymphs and human faces elegantly depicted on the timeworn pieces of driftwood.
“I am completely fascinated by the uniqueness of each individual piece of driftwood,” Berpier shares with great enthusiasm. “There are numerous elements that contribute to the distinctiveness of driftwood; the ever-changing patterns of weather, the gentle caress of water, the abrasive force of sand, the small creatures that find temporary shelter in it, the solid rocks it encounters, and even the magnetic pull of the moon, influencing the ebb and flow of tides, all leave their imprint on its formation.”
